The Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Thursday announced that fans will be allowed to attend the games at the Qingdao Sports Center Conson Gymnasium, also known as “The Diamond,” in Qingdao, east China’s Shandong Province, from Sunday.
The CBA gave a link for medical staff, teachers and public security officers to book seats for the two games that will happen at 15:00 and 20:00 (Beijing Time) on Saturday. After this little “test screening,” the league will begin to sell tickets for the playoff games at The Diamond from July 31. Of course, in order to protect public health, the CBA has come up with a series of precautions, especially against the coronavirus.
Only The Diamond will open for attendance. Audience members must be at least 12 years old. They must first apply and fill out a promise regarding their health history via the official ticket sale website before purchasing the ticket. After that, buyers must go to designated nucleic acid testing agencies at a set time to undergo tests. If their test results come back negative, buyers will receive a link via which they can buy tickets for games in the following 48 hours.
Each buyer can only buy one ticket each time using their ID card information. They must show the ticket, the ID card, local health code, the negative nucleic acid test result and have their temperature checked before being allowed to enter the arena. The attendance rate will be limited for each game. Free medical hand sanitizer will be offered to all attendees. A mask must be worn at all times upon entering the arena, and a distance of at least one meter between each attendee must be maintained. When the game is over, the audience should leave in an orderly fashion under the guidance of working staff.
