Baicha Village is located in Jiangbian Town, Dongfang City, Hainan Province. The thatched cottages in Baicha Village are like boats turned upside-down, and the villagers call them “boat houses.” There are 81 boat houses in the village and they are examples of the excellent architectural skills of the Li ethnic group.
