Rice seeds that traveled with the Chang’e-5 lunar probe for a 23-day space journey are planted in the National Engineering Research Center of Plant Space Breeding of South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou, south China’s Guangdong Province on February 28, 2021. Cover photo shows researchers from South China Agricultural University pick up the sprouting space-bred rice seeds with tweezers and plant them in six blue basins of soil.
