U.S-China relations have hit rock bottom under Donald Trump despite a Phase I trade deal that was supposed to start putting their tariff battles behind them.

And it would be easy to think trade relations will radically improve should Joe Biden replace Trump as U.S. president. But that is unlikely. While Biden is less confrontational than Trump, many experts see little difference in their actual trade policies.
