A series of all-factor tests were carried out at the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Village last weekend, with 2,415 participants involved in testing check-in, accommodation, catering and COVIE-19 (PCR) tests. Located south of the National Olympic Sports Center, the village consists of 20 buildings spread over a construction area of about 330,000 square meters.
It can accommodate 2,338 participants for the Olympics and 1,040 for the Paralympics.
The village has convenient areas for canteen service, shopping and workouts. These will give “villagers” time to enjoy the amenities before and after the competitions. The village will start trial operations for the Olympics on January 23,2022, before opening on January 27.
