Chinese tech giant Baidu has obtained permission to operate fully driverless taxis commercially on public roads in the cities of Wuhan and Chongqing. Baidu will offer the commercial robotaxi service – with no driver present – in some areas of the two cities via the company’s autonomous ride-hailing platform Apollo Go. The Shanghai International Dance Center has reopened with a new work, “The Dark,” presented by the Shanghai-based contemporary dance troupe, Slate. Established by American choreographer Anneliese Charek in 2014, Slate consists of Chinese and Shanghai-based dancers from the United States, Hungary and Brazil.
