We at Deutsche Bank Research have revised up our 2021 GDP forecast for China from the previous 9.5 percent to 10 percent, because the stronger growth momentum in the fourth quarter of 2020 will likely continue in the first half of 2021, and the “blue sweep” in the US election will likely lead to stronger external demand. The Mobile World Congress Shanghai, which opened on Tuesday and will run through Thursday, has nearly 200 exhibitors showcasing their latest products in fields including artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, millimeter wave, 5G technologies, blockchain and smart homes. Visitors taste coffee made by robots, competed with table tennis robot, looked at 5G chips, tried out a smart pair of glasses, intelligent sport equipment and learned about 5G millimeter wave technology.
