After the International Olympic Committee confirmed the inclusion of breakdancing at the Paris 2024 Games, Beijing announced its first university-level breakdancing classes. According to the report, there are some three million street dancers in China so far. Over thousand training organizations launched in the country, with 10 million people learning the dance each year. Schools nationwide have added street dance to their programs. Visitors traveling across China over the New Year’s Day holiday have given a boost to the ice city of Harbin, the capital of the northeastern province of Heilongjiang. Over 3 million visitors flocked to Harbin during the three-day holiday. The city reported 5.9 billion yuan in tourism revenue.
