Many are trying to expand capacity, with Spring Festival expected to drive the numbers even higher, particularly in rural areas. Market analysts predict China’s consumption, tourism and exports-oriented stocks will see growth in 2023 after the A-share stock market recorded a positive start for the year. They expected a strong economic recovery in the second quarter. Some 4,300 shares were up on the first trading day of the year on Tuesday. Top gainers include stocks in the internet services, software development and wind power equipment industries.
