The cinema in China National Film Museum broadcast the symphony concert “Beijing chorus” by using 5G+8K for the first time on Saturday. It is the first cinema to do so in the world. Organized by the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA), the concert, divided into five episodes, is to introduce the historical buildings on the central axis and the surrounding cultural customs, which not only show the historical culture and style of ancient Beijing but also convey the cultural connotations and the spirits of an era. Singapore and Malaysia both claim to be the place of origin for Hainanese chicken rice, the smooth-skinned, sweet, firm-fleshed dish served with broth-boiled rice. But, if Hainanese chicken rice didn’t originate from Hainan, why does it have that name? I arrived in Wenchang, the birthplace of Hainanese chicken rice, to taste and track down the most authentic Wenchang chicken. But on my journey, I saw buildings in Baroque style and sipped on the so-called British afternoon tea, and I couldn’t help wondering if I’m really on the island of Hainan.
